André Jenaro is a producer with over 20 years of experience, deeply rooted in hip-hop culture. He began his career as an MC before fully transitioning into production around 14 years ago, developing a sound that moves between old school, boom bap, and lo-fi. He releases this work under the alias „damaa.beats“.

In 2018, his music began reaching an international audience, generating millions of streams and leading to collaborations with a wide range of artists and labels across the global scene. This period marked a significant expansion of both his reach and creative network.

Beyond hip-hop, he also produces in other genres, including electronic music under the name “bonifas.” His work in this project spans styles from electronica and downtempo to hypnotic techno. André also performs live regularly, using a fully live setup built around drum machines, samplers, synthesizers, and effects—bringing his music to life in real time rather than relying on pre-recorded tracks.

In addition, he has been playing and producing for nearly 20 years in the instrumental band “Steinregen Dubsystem,” which blends electronic music with traditional instruments, with a strong focus on dub and reggae. The band is especially at home on alternative festival stages and has performed multiple times at events such as Fusion, 3000 Grad, and other festivals.

Since 2024, André has consciously stepped away from the fast-paced, algorithm-driven side of the music industry. Instead, he focuses on smaller, carefully selected projects, placing greater emphasis on artistic independence—beyond streams, clicks, and social media pressure.
